RICOH Smart Device Print&Scan App Reviews

Tried with SP C240SF. Device found without problems but every print job ends: "printing failed". No information what kind of problem. No matter whether trying to print a photo or website. As scaning to the app is not supported by the MFP (while network scanning _is_ supported) as the app told me, it is completely useless for me.

Until lately it worked great, able to scan and email and port docs to other apps. Now the "open in other app" is broken. Cant get scans into any other app. Please fix as this app was a great time saver.

Three stars because I can actually print to the copier. Would be four if I could print the email body from my iPad or iPhone. Would be five if I could just print directly rather than through the interface.

Just recently purchased the C4503 printer. App finds the printer. Confirmed the paper size / tray / orientation. Every time the job sends, the printer displays the error invalid media type was specified, press reset to cancel the job. There are no additional options on the app to change. Ultimately, this app is a waste of space on my iPad, and spent several hours with no workable solution.

How to change language ?

Just downloaded and it works great. Took 2 minutes to setup through IP address.

Works exactly as advertised, was able to easily connect to the Ricoh printer copier on our network (after I managed to hunt down its IP address. Printing photos was easy and they looked god. No weird errors or pages of illegible text like so many printers do when trying to get drivers right. Really, the only things I wish it did were print emails and notes and other items from the iPhones own apps. I understand why it cant (it isnt using AirPrint, it does it all via the separate app).

I didnt expect the scanning option to work very well. I was pleasantly surprised. It worked flawlessly. Great app.

I have a RICOH Aficionado SP 4310n printer. This app can not locate it during the device search. Other Apps find it immediately ie. Printershare. You click on the support tab and it takes you to the RICOH sales webpage with no support options.

tried to print fotos from my ipad to the printer wirelessly bu no success, the app freezes

This app worked great before iOS 8. Now it freezes when trying to print photos.

Can no longer open in another app.

I still cannot open files in my scan data folder in another app. Please fix.

Please add iOS 8 extensibility features so we can print from any app. We need the ability to rename printers. An iPhone 6 plus update would be great too.

Cant connect iPad Air with C2503. Ipad 4 will print to the printer but doesnt allow scanning. No support anywhere.

The app might work well for some but certainly not us. I guess it all depends on what model MFC you have. With the MC P3003 4 drawers, the app cannot use or see drawers 3 & 4. The app cannot see or use the whole punch unit. Seems to be no ability to tell the app what finishing unit one has. Please fix or the app is totally useless to us.

Works even on an old Ricoh printer! :)
